Czesław Mozil, Miłosz Wośko, Sonos Kwartet

“Herbert Kameralnie” is a programme of pieces written to poems by Zbigniew Herbert. It is performed by Czesław Mozil and Sonos Kwartet, with arrangements by Miłosz Wośko. The selection includes “Pan Cogito o Cnocie” (Mr Cogito on Virtue), “Kołatka”, “Apel”, “Małe Serce” (Little Heart) and “Przysięga” (The Oath). The project balances on the border of theatre. The Sonos Kwartet line-up is Marta Huget-Skiba (violin), Małgorzata Hlawsa (flute), Anna Grzybala (viola) and Joanna Urbańska-Mikszta (cello). In 2024 the artists recorded two pieces from the programme as video sessions. On 31 October 2025 they recorded the full material at a concert at Polish Radio in Lublin. A vinyl record will be released in November 2026. The idea for setting Herbert's poems to music came to Czesław Mozil after he recorded an album of Czesław Miłosz's poetry. The next step was taking part in the Herbert 3.0 concert in 2018. The concert will also feature other works by Czesław Mozil arranged for Sonos Kwartet. After the performance, you can buy the “Herbert Kameralnie” album signed by the artists.
