Gryficki Dom Kultury w Gryficach invites you to “The Nutcracker”, performed by the Royal Classical Ballet on 02.12.2026 at 6:00 PM. The music is by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and the heroine is a girl named Clara. The story is divided into two acts.
The preview also features characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, ballerinas, and broom-wielding mice. Clara and her nutcracker travel through the Snow Kingdom and the Kingdom of Sweets to defeat the Mouse King. The work is part of the classical ballet canon and remains enormously popular. Its strength lies in the music, choreography, rich costumes and sets, and the Christmas atmosphere. The organizers note that the performance brings generations together, immerses audiences in a child's imagination within a Christmas setting, and is aimed at ballet lovers and families with children. The story is about the triumph of good over evil.
The company emphasizes that in this production every child is treated with understanding, and adults, regardless of age, may rediscover the child within themselves. Clara's family, as every year, awaits the birth of the Christ Child, and the heroine falls asleep in the armchair before the extraordinary events begin.
