“Under the Roofs of Paris 2” is the second edition of a musical show about French chanson. Alongside the classic, nostalgic France of Édith Piaf and Aznavour, contemporary France also takes the stage. The two-act evening lasts 2.5 hours and travels from old Montmartre to today's boulevards, from chanson to musical. Nearly 50 artists perform, including international soloists, an orchestra and a ballet, and the show is hosted by actor Sławomir Doliniec.
The repertoire includes songs by Édith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Dalida, Jacques Brel and contemporary artists such as Stromae, Slimane, Indila and Alizée. An important part consists of excerpts from French musicals: “Mozart l'Opéra Rock”, “Roméo et Juliette, de la Haine à l'Amour” and “Notre-Dame de Paris”, and the program is complemented by operetta music by Jacques Offenbach.
