A park of models of monuments and lighthouses of the Baltic countries at a scale of 1:25, with a miniature Baltic Sea and a model railway layout.
The Baltic Miniature Park in Międzyzdroje is a park of models of monuments and lighthouses from the countries on the Baltic, opened in April 2015. The models are built at a scale of 1:25 and stand according to the real location of the objects. A walk along the miniature coast is meant to take about 45 minutes, which the park's website describes as a journey around the Baltic.
The park shows structures from Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Among the models are the Crane in Gdańsk, Malbork Castle, the Ducal Castle in Szczecin, the Holsten Gate in Lübeck, Schwerin Castle, the Brandenburg Gate, the Gdańsk Shipyard and the reconstructed St Nicholas' Church in Trzęsacz. According to the park's website, Malbork Castle is the largest miniature. Lighthouses form a separate group, among them those from Świnoujście, Nida and Baltiysk. The park's website now speaks of about 30 exhibits, and new models are added every year.
The park has a water reservoir that is a miniature of the Baltic Sea at a scale of 1:45,000 with the coastline preserved, with a model of the sailing ship Dar Pomorza. An additional part is a model railway layout covering 500 square metres. The park's guides tell the history of the objects. The park is open all year round, and admission is paid.
