Steel drawbridge of 1994 over the Dziwna Strait, opened electrically for vessels.
The drawbridge in Dziwnów spans the Dziwna Strait along voivodeship road no. 102. It connects the part of the town on Wolin Island with the mainland, and when the span is raised it opens a passage for vessels.
Until the mid-1950s the part of Dziwnów on Wolin Island had no permanent link with the mainland. The first wooden bridge with a lifting span was built in 1956. The present steel bridge was opened in 1994. It is opened electrically and works on the counterweight principle, in which weights balance the weight of the roadway. When the span is raised, a navigation channel 16 metres wide is created.
In 2021 the Town Council passed a resolution to give the bridge a name. Since 1 January 2022 it has borne the name of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
