Construction and furnishings

The church has a single nave on a rectangular plan, with a square tower to the west topped with an octagonal spire; the windows are rectangular, divided into panes. In 1816-1818 the church and the tower underwent a thorough renovation, and at the beginning of the 1830s the half-timbered tower was replaced by a wooden one, whose lower storey was rebuilt in stone and brick in the 20th century. In the chancel stands a Gothic altar from the early 16th century with the Crucifixion and figures of the Virgin Mary and St John, and the wings of the triptych hold figures of the apostles. After the war the church was blessed on 28 October 1945, and the parish was established in 1957.
