A Gothic-Romanesque church from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries with a polychrome ceiling from 1691, a stop on the trail of Gothic churches.
The Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Śmiechów, in Będzino municipality, is a Gothic-Romanesque church built of stone and brick at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. It stands on a small rise in the western part of the village and has been entered in the heritage register since 1955.
The church is oriented, with a tower, and surrounded by a circular cemetery plan. The tower was added in the 15th century, and the church itself was rebuilt twice. Inside, a polychrome ceiling from 1691 has survived. After the war the church was blessed on 6 November 1946. It is one of the points of the PTTK sightseeing badge “Trail of the Gothic Churches of Koszalin and Kołobrzeg Counties”.
