A church from the mid-19th century in the arcade style, burned in 1945, rebuilt after 2000 and consecrated in 2019.
The church in Kościno in Dobra municipality was built in the mid-19th century as a Protestant church. In 1945 it burned down and only fragments of the perimeter walls remained, hence the word “ruin” in its former register name. After 2000 it was rebuilt as a filial church of the parish of Christ the King of the Universe in Dołuje, and on 19 October 2019 it was consecrated. Today it is therefore in use.
The church represents the style known as Rundbogenstil, which refers to the medieval village churches of Pomerania (the heritage register describes it as Neoclassical). It is a hall church on a rectangular plan, with no separate chancel, of brick and fully plastered with rustication. In the side walls there are three tall, round-headed windows with surrounds, the entrance in the west wall is set in a tall arcade, and in the gable there are two windows. The interior is covered by a wooden ceiling.
The former cemetery adjoins the church, once surrounded by a stone wall. Relics of gravestones from the 19th and 20th centuries have survived, and ash, horse chestnut, field maple and black locust grow here.
The nearby church in Stobno has the same dedication and was also rebuilt from a ruin.
