Brick church of the 17th century in Renice, with an 18th-century tower with an onion dome and a 19th-century burial chapel beside it.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Renice is a brick church of the 17th century, now a branch church of the parish in Sulimierz. It stands on a small rise in the centre of the village of Renice in Myślibórz municipality, among the buildings of a former manor complex.
Wikipedia describes the style as neoclassical. The church is oriented, on a rectangular plan, with no separate chancel, and has a gabled roof over the nave. In the 18th century a two-storey tower with an onion dome and an openwork wooden lantern was added on the west side; in its ground floor there is a round-arched entrance portal, and on its face there are clock dials.
The interior is covered with a flat beamed ceiling, and above the entrance stands a wooden choir gallery on two posts. 18th-century pews and stained glass from the early 20th century have survived. Beside the church stands a 19th-century burial chapel with a mosaic of Christ in the orant pose above the portal. It was consecrated as a Catholic church on 15 November 1946. In Myślibórz, about five kilometres away, stands the Collegiate Church of St John the Baptist.
