A Neo-Gothic parish church rebuilt in 1888-1893, with a stone tower 37 metres high from the late 15th century.
The church in Zamęcin in Choszczno County has two layers of time. The first mentions of a church come from 1337, and at the end of the 15th century a single-nave church of granite ashlar was built. Only the square tower, 37 metres high, has survived from it, and the body of the nave dates from the late 19th century. The heritage register describes the style of the church as Neo-Gothic.
In the 1880s the old church was in very poor condition, and the altar and ceiling boards had rotted. The design for the rebuilding was prepared by a building councillor from Choszczno, the old body was demolished and a new one was built in 1888-1889. The work was completed in 1893. Stone from the demolition was reused for the new walls, and in 1890-1891 the interior was fitted out.
The church was blessed as a Catholic church on 30 September 1945, and the parish in Zamęcin was established in 1962. The main altar and the bells were moved here from the destroyed church in Gleźno. In 1985-1986 the helm of the tower was renovated: a pyramidal finial was added and covered with copper sheet. By the church stands a Marian figure with an inscription from 1975, and in the former 19th-century cemetery a memorial to those who fell in 1914-1918 and impressive pedunculate oaks.
In 1945-1962 the village belonged to the parish in the church in Choszczno.
