Half-timbered church of 1746 in Natolewice, with a Baroque tower spire and a gilded altar with a scene of the Crucifixion.
The church in Natolewice is a half-timbered church of 1746, now a branch church, entered in the heritage register. It stands in the village of Natolewice in Płoty municipality, in Gryfice County, and belongs to the parish in Wicimice. Wikipedia gives the dedication as the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The building is a single-room hall on a rectangular plan, with a gabled roof. The walls are not plastered, so the brick and timber half-timbered frame is visible, and the windows are divided into panes. A square tower with a Baroque spire is set into the roof slope.
The interior is covered with a raised, boarded ceiling. Above the entrance there is a gallery with an organ case, and further galleries run along the side walls. In the chancel stands a gilded, three-part altar decorated with an acanthus-leaf motif, with a scene of the Crucifixion in the centre, the Last Supper in the predella and a picture of the Risen Christ in the crowning. The upper part of a 19th-century wooden pulpit has also survived. It was consecrated as a Catholic church in 1946. Nearby, about four kilometres away, stands the church in Wicimice.
