A Late Gothic stone filial church from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, with a tower decorated with blind niches, rebuilt in 1977-1986.
The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Stare Chrapowo is a Late Gothic stone building on a rectangular plan, built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. The heritage register dates it to the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, while the encyclopaedia entry gives the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries.
The east gable is divided and decorated with blind niches. The nave has pointed-arch windows and a pointed-arch portal, converted from a window opening. On the west stands a massive, square tower, also decorated with blind niches, and a second entrance portal is in its ground floor. The church was rebuilt in 1769.
During the Second World War the church suffered badly, and its original furnishings were destroyed. The rebuilding lasted from 1977 to 1986, and on 2 June 1986 the church was consecrated by the parish priest of Bielice. Today the church is a filial church of the parish of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Bielice, which can be seen in the church in Bielice, about 5 km further on.
