Church of St Stanislaus and St Boniface in Świnoujście

The Church of St Stanislaus and St Boniface, Bishops and Martyrs, in Świnoujście is a modern church on the Posejdon estate, at ul. Siemiradzkiego 9. The parish was established in 1993, and the church was built in 1994-1998.

Building the church

In 1993 the parish began with a temporary chapel, blessed on 8 August. The design of the church was prepared by the engineer Robert Rachuta and was ready in April 1994. The foundations were poured in the summer of the same year, the foundation stone was laid on 8 May 1995, and the roof was put on in 1996. Work on the tower began in June 1997 and was completed in 2000. The consecration took place on 20 December 1998.

Interior

In December 1998 the altar, the pulpit and some of the stained glass were installed. In 2001 paintings of St Stanislaus and St Boniface were hung in the chancel. The parish patronal feasts fall on 8 May in honour of St Stanislaus and on 5 June in honour of St Boniface.
