A half-timbered church from 1769 with a thatched roof and historic furnishings: an altar, a pulpit and a bell from 1642.
The Church of St Anthony of Padua in Garbno, in Polanów municipality, is a Roman Catholic branch church of the parish in Szczeglino, formerly Protestant. It was built in 1769, is entered in the heritage register (entry from 1954) and is one of the churches of the region that have a thatched roof.
This single-nave masonry building is in the half-timbered technique. It has a gable roof covered with thatch, a tower on the west side and a chancel closed on three sides.
The interior has kept historic furnishings, which presumably come from an earlier church on this site. They include a Mannerist altar with scenes of the Last Supper in the predella, the Crucifixion in the central part and the Ascension in the crowning. A Renaissance pulpit, a bell from 1642 and an epitaph from 1722 also date from earlier times.
Right next to it, about 200 m away, stands the Palace in Garbno.
