A neo-Romanesque branch church in Karsk from the mid-19th century, with a wooden tower and a Romanesque granite font.
The Church of St Barbara stands in Karsk in Nowogard municipality and is a branch church of the parish in Nowogard. It was built in 1846, and the heritage register gives the years 1845-1846.
The neo-Romanesque, single-nave church on a rectangular plan is built of split stone, granite and brick, and the corners are made of dressed stone. On the west side stands a two-storey wooden tower with a pointed spire, and the windows have semicircular arches. Above the entrance is a wooden gallery in a classicising style. The altar was converted from a former pulpit altar, and in its recess hangs a painting of Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. By the west portal stands a Romanesque granite font. The church grounds are surrounded by a former cemetery with a partly preserved fence.
The church was consecrated as a Catholic one on 4 December 1946. The mother church is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nowogard.
