From ruin to church

The building is late Gothic, stands on a rectangular plan and has a gable roof. The east gable is decorated with half-pointed blind windows, and pointed-arch niches have survived in the walls. During the Second World War the church was destroyed and for many years stood as a ruin, preserved up to the level of the crowning cornice.

The reconstruction was carried out in 1989-1994 to a design by the engineer Maciej Płotkowiak. The church was consecrated on 4 September 1994 by Bishop Marian Przykucki.
