A filial church from the 13th century, with chequerboard and cross carvings in the portal, ruined after 1945 and rebuilt in 1994-2004.
The church in Strachocin in Stargard municipality dates from the 13th century, although the heritage register gives the early 14th century. From the time of the Reformation it was used by Lutherans. After 1945 it was devastated, and it was rebuilt in 1994-2004 and blessed as a Catholic church. Today it is a filial church of the parish of St Maximilian Maria Kolbe in Krąpiel.
The church is a hall church, on a rectangular plan measuring 20 by 11 metres, and the upper parts of the walls show traces of rebuilding. In the west elevation there is a portal with three stepped reveals, on whose left reveal a poorly legible mason's carving in the shape of a chequerboard can be seen, and on the right one a carving of an equal-armed cross. The second portal, with two stepped reveals, is in the north elevation, and in the south one a new, Neo-Gothic one has been cut. In the east wall there are two Neo-Gothic windows with an oculus above them.
Inside the east wall a niche with a triangular head serves as a tabernacle. The former Baroque altar from the early 18th century was moved after 1945 to the Church of St Anne in Grabowo. Beside the church stands a wooden belfry with a bell from 1904, and the area around it is occupied by the former cemetery with a stone wall, in which a lapidarium of old gravestones has been set up.
Stargard with the Collegiate Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of the World lies about 3 km from here.
