Half-timbered filial Church of St John of Nepomuk in Rutwica on a lake, formerly Protestant, entered in the heritage register in 1961.
The Church of St John of Nepomuk in Rutwica is a half-timbered church, formerly Protestant, now a Roman Catholic filial church. The heritage register covers it as a Protestant church complex with a churchyard cemetery, dated to the 17th-19th century; the entry dates from 1961. The register entry on zabytek.pl gives a date in the 17th century and wooden construction.
Rutwica lies on Lake Rutwica in Wałcz municipality. The village was mentioned in 1435 under the name Hermansdorf, and in 1515 it was the seat of its own parish. It lay close to the border between Pomerania and Greater Poland, and so fell victim to attacks and destruction. The heritage register also includes here a Protestant cemetery from the mid-19th century and a palace park from the second half of the 19th century.
About 5.5 km from the village lies Lake Bytyń Wielki.
About 6 km away is the Strzaliny near Tuczno Nature Reserve.
