Church of the 19th century in Komorowo with a tower of granite blocks, an altar with a scene of the Last Supper and a pulpit with a canopy.
The Church of St Thérèse of the Child Jesus in Komorowo, in Resko municipality, was built in the 19th century on the site of an earlier, medieval church. It belongs to the parish in Resko.
The nave was built of hewn stone and covered with a gabled roof. On the west side adjoins a three-storey tower: the lowest part of granite blocks, the second and third storeys of brick, the whole under a pavilion roof. The portal and windows have brick surrounds.
The ceiling is wooden and beamed. A 19th-century gallery and pews have survived. The altar in the chancel is decorated with plant ornament and figures of little angels, with a relief of the Last Supper in the centre. To the left of the altar stands a pulpit with relief carving, supported on a post, with an entrance by steps and a canopy. The church was consecrated as a Catholic church on 1 September 1945. It is not far from Komorowo to Resko, where the Borck Castle stands.
