A Gothic hall church from the first half of the 14th century, with a crenellated neo-Gothic tower and an early Baroque altar from 1704.
The Church of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles in Kurzycko, in Mieszkowice municipality, is a Gothic branch church of the parish in Czelin. It stands on a hill in the centre of the village, at a crossroads, and is entered in the heritage register.
The church was built in the first half of the 14th century as a hall church, of fieldstone, granite ashlar and brick. The tower was added in 1611, and in 1692 the building was thoroughly renovated. In 1888 the tower was rebuilt from scratch in neo-Gothic style, as a defensive tower with crenellation and corner bartizans. At the same time the crypt was turned into a chancel and the windows were widened.
Inside, an incomplete early Baroque altar from 1704 has survived, the work of Master Hattenkerell of Moryń. The church plot is surrounded by a stone wall, planted with a row of lime trees and containing elements of a former cemetery. The church has a long history of dependence on the parish in Czelin: for centuries it was a branch of Mieszkowice or of Czelin, and in 1973-2000 it was a parish church.
