Late Gothic church of granite stones from the end of the 15th century, with a wooden Baroque bell tower.
The late Gothic filial church in Przęsocin, a village in Police municipality on the northern outskirts of Szczecin, is a church built of granite stones in 1493, with a wooden tower from the Baroque period.
The first church in the village, a wooden one, was mentioned in 1286. In 1493 it was pulled down and a masonry church of granite stones was built, which stands to this day. In 1740 a wooden bell tower with a Baroque helm, an octagonal lantern and a cross at the top was added at the west. A bronze bell of 1832 hangs in the tower. After the Second World War the church was consecrated as a Catholic one, on 4 August 1946.
The interior is covered with a wooden beamed ceiling. On the west wall there is a music gallery with an organ case. After 1945 the plaster was knocked off outside and inside, and the walls inside were whitewashed. In 1987 a sacristy was set up in the passage under the tower to a design by Eng. Stefan Kwilecki.
From Przęsocin it is not far to the Bismarck Tower in Szczecin, about 4.6 km as the crow flies.
