A 16th-century stone church with a wooden boarded tower and a carved pulpit with the Evangelists.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Chwarstno was built in the 16th century of erratic boulders. It is a branch of the parish of St Thomas the Apostle in Runowo, and it is entered in the heritage register.
The church stands on a rectangular plan. Its east gable is half-timbered, two windows in this wall have round arches, and the others were rebuilt in the 19th century. On the west side a wooden boarded tower covered with a spire was added to the body. The heritage register describes the building material as stone and dates it to the 16th century.
The ceiling is wooden, and above the entrance stands a gallery supported on pillars. A carved pulpit with figures of the Evangelists has survived. After the Second World War the church was consecrated as a Catholic church on 15 August 1945, that is, in the same year in which the war ended.
