A square in the centre of Szczecin, formerly Augustaplatz, with the monument to Bartolomeo Colleoni in the middle.
Lotników Square is one of the main squares in the centre of Szczecin and until 1945 was called Augustaplatz. The middle of the square is a pedestrian space, and it holds the monument to the Italian condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni.
Pope John Paul II Avenue (formerly National Unity Avenue) and Jagiellońska, Kaszubska, Małopolska and Mazurska streets meet at the square. The buildings are those put up during the construction of the Śródmiejska Residential District, together with two single-storey pavilions. The State Archive in Szczecin is located nearby.
