Peat bog with an overgrowing lake, an educational trail and an observation tower near Warnowo station.
The Łuniewo peat bog reserve in Wolin municipality protects an overgrowing lake and a peat bog on which protected plants grow. It covers 10.5 hectares, was established on 23 January 1973 and lies in the buffer zone of Wolin National Park, half a kilometre from Warnowo railway station.
The aim of protection is the transitional and raised peat bog and the dystrophic lake, which is gradually becoming overgrown. Plants growing here include royal fern, round-leaved sundew and Pomeranian honeysuckle. The lake is a refuge for water and marsh birds: the species mentioned include the mute swan, grey heron, great crested grebe, bittern and Montagu's harrier.
Around the reserve runs an educational trail 1.6 km long, with 19 stops and information boards. On the route stands an observation tower. The way from the station in Warnowo to the village takes a stretch of trail 0.6 km long, and a cycle route also runs alongside.
