Stepnica Port

Stepnica
About Stepnica Port

A small seaport on the Szczecin Lagoon with a fishing basin, cargo quays and a yacht harbour.

Stepnica Port is a small seaport on the eastern shore of Stepnica Bay, which is part of the Oder Estuary (Roztoka Odrzańska), itself a bay of the Szczecin Lagoon. It was formally established in 1963 by the Minister of Shipping. Vessels up to 75 m long, 13 m wide and with a draught of up to 3.1 m can call there.

Basins and quays

Within the port there are two areas. The Railway Basin is used for handling bulk cargo, and barges and pushers moor at the Southern Quay. In the Fishing Basin stand fishing boats, and yachts lie by the breakwater. Separately lies the Kramp Canal, also called the Mill or Sports Canal, a narrow canal about 300 m long, in which yachts are moored and which houses a sailing and motorboat club. Two sailing clubs operate in the port, and the infrastructure is administered by the Maritime Office in Szczecin.

Practical information

  • The port lies in the town of Stepnica, not far from St Hyacinth's Church and the Marina Stepnica harbour.
  • This is a working port, so the working quays may be inaccessible. Check the rules of entry onto the site with the manager.
