About Baltic and Szczecin Lagoon Trail

The Baltic and Szczecin Lagoon Trail is a blue walking trail in the north-western part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, maintained by PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) from Świnoujście to Dziwnówek. The distance marked on the trail comes to about 98 km.

Route

The trail leads first along the sandy beaches of Wolin Island, and beyond Międzyzdroje (18 km) it enters the hilly terrain of the Wolin Range and the Lubin-Wapnica Hills in Wolin National Park. Along the way are the Kozierowski hills, the Trzciągowska Valley with an old chalk pit in Wicko, and a viewpoint on Piaskowa Góra in Wapnica.

In Zalesie (23 km) lie the remains of a V3 launch site, and in Wapnica, about 26 km from the start, Turquoise Lake (Jezioro Turkusowe). The trail then passes Lubin with its hillfort and the Zielonka hill, and the Mokrzyckie Góry with the rubble of Żurawice castle.

From Wolin (47 km) the trail runs along the Dziwna and the Kamień Lagoon through Kamień Pomorski (88 km) to Dziwnówek. Along its whole length there are numerous panoramas and viewpoints.
