Climacterium 2, or The Menopause Frenzy

On March 5, 2027, at 8:00 PM, the Scena Dekadencja w Nowej Dekadencji stage at the Szczecińskie Centrum Kultury will present “Klimakterium 2, czyli menopauzy szał.” The play was created at the request of audiences who wanted to know what happened next to the heroines of the first part, “Klimakterium... i już,” which has been performed more than 1,800 times in the six years since its premiere.

The story takes place in Malina's newly opened pub, where Pamela, still battling her weight but now with a job, and Zosia, a resourceful housewife, gather for Malina's birthday. Krycha does not show up, and the creators do not reveal why. Angela, the dreamy one, runs the business with Malina. The women, who haven't seen each other in years, have a lot to catch up on, so it is loud and cheerful.

The show features new songs with funny lyrics, choreography, and the energy of the actresses. Some of the performers are known from the previous production, and new ones have joined them. The authors argue that menopause is not the end of the world but the start of a new chapter, and that laughter works like therapy.

The rotating cast includes Elżbieta Jodłowska, Ewa Kuklińska, Agnieszka Litwin, Małgorzata Duda Kozera, Ludmiła Warzecha, Grażyna Zielińska, Dorota Piasecka, Ewa Cichocka, Katarzyna Kozak, Dorota Wierzbicka Matarrelli, Renata Zarębska, Ewa Konstanciak, and Iwona Chołuj. The play is directed by Krzysztof Jaślar and Elżbieta Jodłowska.
