The heroines of the film “Forgotten Island” are Jo, full of energy and eager for adventure, and Raissa, responsible and sensible. They have been friends since primary school. When Raissa leaves for university, a farewell evening turns into a journey. Through a mysterious portal, the girls end up on Nakali, an island world inspired by Filipino mythology and inhabited by creatures and magical beings.
Together with an unlucky werewolf, Rawwe, and new allies, they face the Manananggal, the island's most powerful being. To return home, they discover, they must pay a high price: losing their memories of their friendship.
