Recital written and directed by Piotr Loretz

On 27.04.2027 at 7:00 PM, Edyta Geppert will perform a recital at the Filharmonia im. Mieczysława Karłowicza w Szczecinie, written and directed by Piotr Loretz. The artist is the only Polish performer to have won the Polish Song Festival in Opole four times: in 1984, 1986, 1995, and 2014.

The repertoire is carefully curated, and these precisely directed recitals offer a rare chance to hear the gems of Polish literary song. Many of these pieces have stood the test of time and become evergreens. Geppert draws great emotion from simple, melodic word-and-music forms.

• Lyricists: Magda Czapińska, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jacek Cygan, Marek Dagnan, Jerzy Ficowski, Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski, Andrzej Poniedzielski, Jan Kazimierz Siwek
• Composers: Henryk Alber, Włodzimierz Korcz, Seweryn Krajewski, Andrzej Rybiński

The evening features sharp contrasts in mood: lyrical songs sit alongside dramatic ones, and dramatic ones alongside comic cabaret numbers based on texts by the genre's classic, Marian Hemar.
