Voo Voo, led by Wojciech Waglewski, will perform on January 26, 2027, at 7:00 PM at the Filharmonia im. Mieczysława Karłowicza in Szczecin. The concert's special guest is soprano Samitra Suwannarit of the National Philharmonic. The band will present its new album “Dźwięczność”.
Voo Voo blends rock, jazz and improvisation. At its concerts, the band improvises and reinterprets its own songs with new arrangements, so every show sounds different. “Dźwięczność” is a nine-song album that the band describes as Wojciech Waglewski's personal diary from recent years, with one chapter by Mateusz. They are joined by Karim, Michał and musical friends. The band is presenting the new album at a series of more or less intimate concerts, and the program also includes older songs.
The concert is a charity event to support the treatment of Milenka Berdyszak, and all proceeds will go to her. Milenka has a rare genetic disease linked to the TRPV4 gene, which disrupts the development of bones and spine. The condition may progress as she grows and lead to serious complications, and medicine does not yet have an approved therapy that treats its cause. Her parents are contacting doctors and researchers around the world and searching for a therapy that could change the course of the disease. The fundraiser aims to give Milenka a chance for the future.
