The Royal Classical Ballet, under the direction of Marcin Rolczyński, will present the ballet “The Sleeping Beauty” to music by Piotr Czajkowski at the Stargardzkie Centrum Kultury.
The heroine is Princess Aurora. During celebrations held in her honour, the wicked fairy Carabosse casts a curse on her. On her birthday, the princess pricks herself with a spindle and falls into a sleep, and the entire palace falls asleep with her. Only courage, goodness and true love can break the evil spell.
The production features classical choreography, spectacular costumes, subtle lyrical scenes, technically demanding solo parts and elaborate ensemble numbers. The story takes audiences to royal courts and enchanted gardens. The performance is aimed at ballet lovers, first-time viewers and whole families alike.
Performed by: Royal Classical Ballet. Company director: Marcin Rolczyński. Music: Piotr Czajkowski.
