In the comedy “Unexpected Return,” Daniel Olbrychski plays an actor who is to take on the role of King Lear. He knows well the stage fright and high expectations that come with such a demanding challenge, having played leading Shakespearean roles himself. His doubts are set against a backdrop of complicated family relationships: troubles with partners, parents, and children.
An important character is the son of the main protagonist, played by Tomasz Karolak, known from many television and film productions. The show leaves open questions about where the various storylines will lead and how the relationship between father and son will develop.
