Rise of 51 m above sea level on the spoil heap of a former chalk mine in Zdroje Forest Park, with a view of Szczecin and the Oder valley.
Academic Hill (Wzgórze Akademickie) is a rise of 51 m above sea level in the northern part of the Beech Hills, in Zdroje Forest Park, in the Szczecin-Podjuchy district. From the summit one can see Szczecin, the Lower Oder Valley and the Szczecin Hills.
The westward-projecting part of the hill is part of the spoil heap of a former chalk mine. The southern and eastern slopes are wooded and descend towards the mine's excavation, while the northern and western ones are grassy and steep. At the foot runs the railway line Szczecin Główny - Szczecin Dąbie.
The Trail to the Swedish Boulder leads over the hill, so it can be included in a walk around Zdroje Forest Park.
