About Anne Jagiellon Trail

Blue PTTK walking trail of 35.2 km from Szczecin-Załom through Goleniów Forest to Stargard.

The Anne Jagiellon Trail is a blue PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) walking trail 35.2 km long, which leads through Goleniów Forest and the Pyrzyce-Stargard Plain from Szczecin-Załom to Stargard. It runs through the city of Szczecin, the municipalities of Goleniów, Stargard and Kobylanka, and the town of Stargard.

Route

The start is at the PKP station in Załom, where the trail meets the red Rekowo Trail. It then leads through Kliniska Wielkie to the settlement of Pucko, where there is a Nature and Forest Education Centre with an exhibition room in the Kliniska forest district building, and a lime tree about 450 years old called “Anna”, linked to the legend of the trail's patron. The trail then passes through one of the largest uninhabited parts of Goleniów Forest, a pine forest with fire watchtowers.

In Sowno on the Ina stands a neo-Gothic church of the 19th century and half-timbered houses of the same period. At Ciszewo the trail passes the hill Kępa Bukowa (21.7 m above sea level), and in Grzędzice a Gothic church of the 15th century with valuable furnishings, among them polychromy and a medieval font. The trail ends in Stargard at the PKP and PKS stations.
