About Bison Show Reserve

Wild Enclosure in Jabłonowo, a bison show reserve in Mirosławiec municipality.

The Bison Show Reserve, called the Wild Enclosure (Dzika Zagroda), lies in Jabłonowo in Mirosławiec municipality (Wałcz County). It was created under a project to build a bison show reserve, co-financed from regional funds.

It is run by the West Pomeranian Nature Society, a public benefit organisation that since 2005 has been concerned with herds of free-living bison in the voivodeship. The first bison were brought to the Wałcz Forest District in 1980, and the enclosure in Jabłonowo is the result of the society's many years of work.

In the area lies the Wielki Bytyń Nature Reserve (4.8 km) and the Church of St Hedwig in Jabłonowo (800 m).
