Granite church from the 13th century in Będargowo, entered in the heritage register, with 19th-century furnishings and a wooden bell tower.
The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians in Będargowo is a 13th-century granite hall church entered in the heritage register. It stands in Kołbaskowo municipality, in Police County.
The Wikipedia entry dates the church to around 1220. It was built of granite stones on a rectangular plan measuring 18.5 by 11.5 m. It had two Gothic portals, western and southern. Alterations of 1690, 1701, 1786 and 1863 blurred the original division of the elevations, and in 1863 the tower to the west was pulled down. Massive buttresses remain from it.
The interior preserves 19th-century furnishings: a font, a pulpit, an altar and a neo-Gothic organ case. Next to the church is a cemetery with a wooden bell tower of around 1930, in which hang two bells cast in 1737 and 1833.
