A Gothic-Baroque church from the 15th century in a village on the Mogilica, in the heritage register.
The Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Lipie is a small Gothic-Baroque church from the 15th century, listed in the heritage register. It stands in the village of Lipie in Rąbino municipality, in Świdwin County, on the right bank of the Mogilica.
The heritage register gives a date from the 15th to the 17th century, a Gothic style and brick as the material. The church was rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries, and it is crowned by a tower with a helm with a lantern. To the south of the church, relics of the foundations of a Gothic residential tower have survived. The building has three entries in the register, from 1955, 1956 and 2021.
Since 2004 Lipie has been home to an Environmental Education Centre, built on the site of a former school, which organises green schools, workshops and accommodation. It is about 300 m from here to the Polish-German Scientific and Natural Garden.
