A brick cemetery chapel from 1911 designed by Emil Gravert, a parish church since 1945.
The Church of Our Lady of Ostra Brama on Słowicza Street in Szczecin's Żelechowa district is a former Protestant cemetery chapel from 1911. It stands on the site of the former Brodowo Cemetery and has served Catholics since 1945.
The building was designed by the Szczecin architect Emil Gravert. The brick, plastered chapel stands on a stone foundation, on a rectangular plan with a small separate chancel. The nave is covered with a gable roof, and a small turret with a cross is set in its western slope. The heritage register gives the style as eclectic and dates the building to 1911.
The interior is a single space covered with a wooden barrel vault. On the west wall there is a gallery with a neo-Gothic organ case. The wooden altar in the chancel was made in 1970 by Leon Buryło. In front of the church stands a free-standing bell tower with a bell from 1918, which comes from the St Matthew's Church in Drzetowo that no longer exists.
Catholics took over the chapel and adapted it as a branch church of the parish in Golęcino. It was consecrated on 1 December 1945 by Fr Kazimierz Świetliński. An independent parish was established in 1951.
