A Gothic church from the 15th century in Nieborowo, rebuilt after wartime devastation in 1985-1988.
The Gothic fieldstone church stands on the village green in the middle of Nieborowo, within a former cemetery enclosed by a stone wall. It dates from the 15th century, and after the war it stood abandoned and was rebuilt only in 1985-1988.
The church has the shape of a rectangle, and the east and west walls are crowned with decorative brick gables. The south elevation has kept its original Gothic pointed portal. The wooden tower was destroyed by fire in 1828 and replaced with a new one, with a Neo-Gothic portal.
After the Reformation the church was taken over by Protestants, and before 1930 it was the seat of a parish of its own. After the Second World War the church was devastated, and in the 1950s the roof and the upper part of the tower were taken down. Rebuilt, it was consecrated on 3 July 1988. The 16th-century sandstone bowl of the font from this church is today in the National Museum in Szczecin. Nearby stands the Church of St John the Baptist in Żabów.
