A granite church from the 13th century in Letnin, with a Renaissance altar from around 1600 and a pulpit from 1703.
The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Letnin, in Pyrzyce municipality, was built in the 13th century, as indicated by the shape of the window arches and portals. It belongs to the parish in Brzesko and is listed in the heritage register.
In 1743 the church was destroyed by fire, a year later it was rebuilt and a half-timbered tower was added, which was pulled down in 1910 because of its poor technical condition. In 1871 the interior was renovated. After the Second World War Red Army soldiers set up a stable here, and on 8 September 1945 the church was consecrated as a Catholic one.
It is a hall church on a rectangular plan measuring 23.1 by 9.9 m, built of granite stones, with a gable roof and a ridge turret with a cross. The façades show a pointed-arch south portal, Neo-Gothic windows and traces of the original small windows, and the east gable is decorated with three blind windows. The interior is covered by a wooden barrel vault.
A Neo-Gothic font, a gallery with an organ and a brick floor from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries have survived. The pulpit from 1703, richly decorated with plant ornament, has a figure of Moses at its base. The Renaissance altar from around 1600 has a retable in the form of a triptych, of which two wings have survived, with figures of saints and scenes of the Passion on the reverse. The original figures were stolen in 2004 and replaced with copies. The grounds are surrounded by a former cemetery with a stone wall, and a bell from 1928 hangs in the church's bell tower.
Two kilometres away is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Brzesko in Brzesko, to which Letnin belongs as a parish.
