A half-timbered branch church in Słajsino from 1737, with a free-standing wooden tower and a bell from the same year.
The Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Słajsino (Nowogard municipality) was built in timber-frame construction in 1737. According to the Wikipedia entry it is the smallest timber-framed church in West Pomerania. It belongs to the parish in Wierzbięcin and is entered in the heritage register.
It is an oriented hall church on a rectangular plan, with a gable roof and rectangular windows in the nave. On the west side adjoins a free-standing, wooden tower on a square plan with a pavilion roof, and a bronze bell from 1737 hangs in it.
The ceiling is wooden and beamed, and the floor is cement. On the chancel wall hangs a cross, and next to it a painting of Our Lady Queen of Poland, brought from the Eastern Borderlands by the first Polish settlers. After the war the church was consecrated as a Catholic one in 1946.
