A church from 1492 in Kłodkowo, with a wooden pulpit from the 16th century and a door with fittings from the 14th century.
The Church of Our Lady Queen of the World in Kłodkowo, in Trzebiatów municipality, was built in 1492 of stone and brick. It is a filial church of the parish in Górzyca and has been in the heritage register since 1957.
It is an oriented hall church on a rectangular plan. The east and west façades are crowned by gables decorated with blind windows and pinnacles. On the west side stands a free-standing wooden tower, added in the 17th century, square in plan and topped with an octagonal spire covered in sheet metal. In the second half of the 19th century and in 1903 the church was rebuilt, and in the 19th century a sacristy was added on the south-west side. It was consecrated as a Catholic church on 29 June 1950.
The interior is covered by a wooden beamed ceiling. In the left part of the chancel a 16th-century wooden pulpit on a pillar has survived, with a canopy and a back panel. Above the entrance is a 19th-century choir gallery. The greatest curiosity is the 14th-century fittings on the inner door, which the Wikipedia entry calls the oldest surviving example of blacksmith's art in western Pomerania.
Trzebiatów is less than six kilometres from here, and it has, among other sites, the Church of the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Kaszana Tower.
