Stone church of the 16th century with a wooden tower of the 18th century, a painted ceiling and a 16th-century pulpit and font.
The Church of St John the Baptist in Sielsko is a stone church of the 16th century with a wooden tower and a ceiling decorated with paintings. It stands in the village in Węgorzyno municipality and has been entered in the heritage register since 1958.
The church was built in the 16th century of erratic boulders on a quadrangular plan, and the nave is covered with a gabled roof. In 1705 the building was plastered, as commemorated by the inscription Anno 1705 in the gable of the east wall. In the 18th century a wooden square tower with a Baroque spire was added on the west side; the entrance is now in it. A sacristy by the south wall of the nave covered the original portal. The east gable is decorated with three stepped blind niches.
The wooden, beamed ceiling is decorated with paintings. Above the entrance stands a gallery on carved pillars with an organ installed in 1966. In the chancel a sacrament niche in the form of a recess has survived, and in the church there are a 16th-century pulpit and font.
The church was consecrated as a Catholic church in 1945. The dedication was transferred from the church in Kuropatniki by the Polish settlers who came from there. Beside it stands a freestanding bell tower with two bells, from the 16th and 20th centuries. Nearby there is a memorial to those who fell in the First World War, and since 2002 also a memorial to the inhabitants of Kuropatniki murdered in the Second World War.
