A Renaissance church from 1606 with ornate gables, destroyed during the war and rebuilt in 1995-1999.
The church in Morzyca in Dolice municipality was built in 1606 at the foundation of Joachim von Wedel. It is dedicated to St Josemaría Escrivá. It is entered in the heritage register. Destroyed during the Second World War, it was rebuilt and today serves as a filial church of the parish in Kolin.
It is a hall building in the Renaissance style, built of fieldstone and brick, on a rectangular plan, with a gable roof and a chancel closed with a straight wall. Most striking are the ornate gables on the east and west sides: with three levels of cornices with a dentil frieze, blind arcades of various shapes and seven pinnacles. The windows are square and set in surrounds, and the entrance portal is in a side wall. The interior is covered by a wooden beamed ceiling.
Work to a design by the engineer Maciej Płotkowiak began in 1995, and the blessing took place on 19 June 1999.
The nearest of the churches described in the area is the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Kolin, the seat of the parish, about 3 km from Morzyca.
