A Gothic church from the early 16th century in Żalęcino, rebuilt after the destruction of 1945, with a decorated east gable.
The Church of St Maximilian Maria Kolbe in Żalęcino, in Dolice municipality, was built in the early 16th century. The heritage register dates it to the end of the 15th century and describes it as Gothic. It belongs to the parish in Kolin.
The building is of fieldstone and brick, on a rectangular plan, with a gabled roof. The south wall has a portal with two steps. The east gable is decorated with eight pointed-arch blind niches and seven pinnacles, and the west wall with a brick ornament in the shape of a cross. The windows were rebuilt in the early 20th century, and only one original one with two steps has survived.
In 1945 the church was destroyed in the fighting. It was rebuilt in 1985-1986, and Bishop Stanisław Stefanek blessed it on 14 June 1986. Inside are a wooden beam ceiling and a flat-ended chancel.
