Neoclassical church of 1782-1784 designed by David Gilly, with a late baroque altar and a painting of the Last Supper on the ceiling.
The Church of St Michael the Archangel in Dobrzany was built in 1782-1784 to a design by the architect David Gilly, on the site of an earlier, medieval church. Material from the demolition of the castle in Szadzko was partly used in the construction.
The brick church, plastered in a light colour, has a rectangular plan stretched along a north-south axis, and a hipped roof. In the 19th century a four-sided bell tower was added on the west side, with rusticated corners in the lower part and pilaster strips higher up. A porch and a sacristy were added to the side walls.
Inside stand a late baroque altar and an 18th-century pulpit moved from the church in Odargowo. The ceiling above the nave is decorated with a painting showing the Last Supper. After the Second World War the church was blessed as a Catholic church on 23 September 1946, and in 1951 the parish was established.
