The Church of St Michael the Archangel in Trzebawie is a half-timbered church of the 18th century, a branch of the parish of St Thomas the Apostle in Runowo. It stands in the village in Węgorzyno municipality, in Łobez County.

History and architecture

The church was built in the second half of the 18th century, founded by the Wedel family, to whom the village belonged. It is built in half-timbered technique, on a rectangular plan, with a chancel closed on five sides at the east end. On the west side adjoins a tower with a conical spire set on a wooden turret. The entrance portal is rectangular, and the windows are closed with a segmental arch.

Interior

The ceiling is beamed. Above the entrance runs a wooden gallery on two posts, with a 19th-century organ case. A picture of St Michael the Archangel is set in the altar, which is of no particular style. In 1945 the church was consecrated as a Catholic church. The building is entered in the heritage register.
