Branch church in Tatynia, built in half-timbered construction at the end of the 17th century as an Evangelical church, entered in the heritage register.
The Church of St Paul in Tatynia was built at the end of the 17th century as an Evangelical church. It is among the oldest sacred buildings of this construction in West Pomerania, and since 1948 it has served the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church.
The church stands on the steep bank of the Gunica stream. It was built in half-timbered technique, on a rectangular plan, as a hall building, that is with a single nave space. A small wooden tower with a pyramidal helmet, topped with a ball and a cross, rises from the body. The interior has a modern altar with an image of St Paul.
The churchyard is surrounded by a historic fieldstone wall. The former cemetery that lay here has not survived to the present day. The building has been entered in the heritage register since 1963.
The church is a branch of the parish in Police-Jasienica, to which the church of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles also belongs.
