Stone church from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque style in the 19th century, with a wooden bell tower from the early 20th century.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pilchowo, a village in Police municipality, was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries as a granite hall building without a tower or a separate chancel. It belongs to the Szczecin-Niebuszewo deanery.
In the second half of the 19th century the church was thoroughly rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque spirit: the walls of the nave were raised, brick stepped gables with pinnacles and a semicircular apse on the east side were added, and the windows were closed with a semicircular arch. Of the original building the lower parts of the side walls have survived, up to the height of the windows. On the south wall a trace of the removed jambs of an earlier portal can be seen.
The nave and apse are of irregular fieldstones, and the gables, window surrounds and annexe of brick. The interior has a wooden beam ceiling and a choir gallery on pillars. The church is about 20.7 m long and 7.3 m wide. Next to it stands a wooden bell tower from the early 20th century, with a bell of 1872 cast in the Carl Voss & Sohn bell foundry in Szczecin.
