A filial church from the 13th century, rebuilt in the 14th and 17th centuries, with a massive defensive-type tower topped with crenellation.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kłodowo was built in the 13th century, and only the lower part of the tower has survived from it. It is a filial church of the parish of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzywin, in Widuchowa municipality.
Of the original layout only the lower part of the tower has survived, up to the level of the nave walls, built of regularly dressed hewn stone laid in 17 courses. The upper part of the tower and the walls of the nave are late medieval, of irregular stones. The defensive-type tower is topped with crenellation and an octagonal conical helm. On its ground floor there is a portal with two stepped reveals, and a second, plastered portal in the south wall has been walled up.
In the 14th century the church was rebuilt and extended, partly demolished and set up anew. In the following century the tower was added, and in the 17th century the church was rebuilt again. In the east wall there are two wide late Gothic windows, and the gable is decorated with slender pointed blind arcades in a pyramidal arrangement.
The interior is covered by a low flat ceiling, and the walls are painted white. From the 19th century a Neo-Gothic main altar, a choir gallery and pews have survived. The church was blessed as Catholic on 3 April 1946.
